Travel as a Lifestyle
• by Leonardo Sarti
For me, travel isn’t an escape; it’s a way of being. It doesn’t mean being away all the time, but setting habits that make every trip sustainable, productive and respectful of places.
Mindset: choose the pace
Pace is a decision you make before leaving. One true priority a day and honest buffer time. 80/20: 80% exploration, 20% content and logistics.
Light prep
One body, a versatile lens, spare battery/SD; tripod only if needed. The point isn’t to carry everything—it’s to know what you’re trying to say.
On-field routine
- Exploratory loop without shooting: notes on light and rhythm.
- Light windows: golden hour and planned sunrise.
- Two-pass review with a 24-hour gap.
Relationship with places
Talk to locals, ask for stories and timings. It’s a pact: respect for pace and space, in exchange for authenticity.
